X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Revisited
Over the weekend, while I was away camping, my wife and daughter watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine. My wife has never been really involved with comics, but she likes watching the movies. She then asked me about Deadpool, and how she didn’t like how he was treated, and didn’t like how the movie ended. I told her she needed to watch past the end of the credits, as every Marvel movie I’ve ever seen has something interesting past the end.
When we got home, I played the credits for her. We saw Logan sitting at a bar in Japan, drinking shots. Apparently, this is one of three potential endings to the movie, which sets up the sequel for Wolverine, to display his life and time in Japan. The ending I was expecting, however, was of a hand crawling over to a decapitated head, setting up the Deadpool spin-off. My wife found that interesting, that he would still be able to live; she wasn’t aware of Deadpool’s regeneration abilities.
Needless to say, that after seeing the secondary ending, she was much happier. She also likes the idea of a Deadpool movie in the works.
